We have 16 acres of land, a natural vegetable garden, fruit trees, a small flock of sheep, free range chickens, miniature donkeys, Nubian/Boer goats, and some guinea fowl.
We welcome our guests to explore the farm, and arrangements can be made for a guided tour and feeding.
For safety reasons we cannot permit guests to enter pastures or feed animals without a guide.
There is no other place like this around here. These cabins are close to the 740-acre Sandy River Reservoir, that is rated #2 for the best bass fishing in Virginia. The Gallion State Forest and Twin Lakes State Park are just a few minutes down the road.
This retreat is the place for you if you enjoy being in nature, yet you still like the convienience of being less than 5 minutes from the growing town of Farmville, where you can find restaurants, coffee shops, an authentic Belgian bakery, bridal boutiques, clothing stores, a local farmers market, unique shops, including the well-known Green Front Furniture and accessories stores.
This area is also home to Hampden-Sydney College and Longwood University
